Rally on the Rock 2004

The Guernsey Harley Owners Group recently held their Rally on the Rock event at Rue Mainguy, and the Guernsey Model Club were invited to put on a Static and Flying display during the afternoon.  As you can see from the photos below we had quite a good selection of models on display.  Unfortunately flying conditions on the day were not ideal, however 4 of us (Andy, Shane, Thomas and Myself) flew to entertain the crowd, with the Magnum and Fury helicopter proving to be the most popular with the crowd.  Thomas also put in a  good effort 3D-ing his Funtana.  Shane and Andy flew their Cougar's very well in less-than-ideal conditions.

Mid-way through the afternoon, our display was unfortunately cut short when the rain started to pour, however it didn't dampen the spirits of the public, as when we left there were still many people looking around at the various Bikes and Cars present.  All in all, a well organised event, and we hope to do something similar again next year.

Oh, Yes!  This rather marvellous Ferrari 360 was on display very close to our model display.  I'm sure I don't have to tell you it drew a lot of attention throughout the day.
