Fairchild PT 19
A recent addition to Mick's ever increasing and very varied 'squadron' is this beautiful example of an aircraft from the pioneering days of aircraft design. Beautiful to look at and a very practical aircraft in its day. Over to Mick now for his description of this lovely model...
This Fairchild PT-19 trainer is an ARTF kit from about 16-17 years ago, made by EZ. probably one of the first aircraft that fitted the ARTF description.
Technical details are: 65" wingspan , weight approx 5 and a half pounds, and powered by a Super Custom 70 4-stroke swinging a 13x6 prop.
It has completed about a dozen flights, and in the air is very docile despite being reasonably aerobatic. Landings are slow and uneventful, altogether a very nice model.
