Saturday, 17th January 2004. Crabby Jacks, Vazon, Guernsey. The Guernsey Model Club hold their dinner-dance winter event to have a bit of a get together and eat some good food.
Roughly 20 people in all attended, and I think it's safe to say a good time was had by all. The food was good from most people's point of view, although a couple of menu choices might appeared to have "lacked" compared to others. The atmosphere was very party like, as there were several other large groups having birthday parties etc.
Everyone had a laugh, all the modellers present chatted about all things flying, what's new, what's hot and not etc. including the new Graupner Stinson Voyager park-flyer, the first of which in Guernsey had it's test-flight that afternoon. It appears that the interest on this little model is going to be even higher the Mini-Piper. Nick Vining showed a side of himself we don't usually see, (No, not Mr. T the Biker), he is, in fact, a 7 year old. No Really, look at the pictures of him...acting all childish. But he wasn't the only one. Sophie Browning was also acting like a 7 year old!
Anyway, Enough blab, check out the photo's, and make sure you can attend next time. It's worth it.
