Arrow Tiger

The Arrow Tiger is a third generation VMAR ARTF kit, suitable for 46-53 2 stroke power and 4-channel radio.  The kit is quite easy to build, with no strange or difficult parts to do, although some of the fittings were a bit iffy.  One important thing to mention is that instructions regarding the CG are wrong!!  It should be about 4 inches behind the leading edge, however the instructions say about 2 or 3.  This is too far forward, and the 4 inch figure should be used.

Mick's Arrow Tiger has an Irvine 53, with the standard muffler and an APC 10x8 prop.  This provides plenty of power to pull the plane through the sky.  It flies fairly fast and is quite accurate too.  It also has a fairly high landing speed, but with practice this can be slowed down more and it has no nasty vices (tip stalling etc).

For the price, you can't go far wrong if you want a sports aerobatic plane to have a bit of a laugh with on a sunny afternoon. And as you can see, for a VMAR it actually looks quite good as well.

Mick seems quite happy anyway.

The VMAR Arrow Tiger is available locally from Andy at Sound and Vision at a price of about £66.
