Indoor Flying Session - December 2009
Just a few shots as a bit of a 'taster', until I can get down to posting up some others which I took at earlier sessions.
My sincere thanks to Chris Wilkinson for providing these shots seen here.
First up is Dave Wilkinson, demonstrating excellent control with his 'Edge'

Andy Best's model shown here is capable of some very sloooow aeros courtesy of the vertical 'airbrakes' fitted to the wings and airlerons.

Electric helis are numerous now at these sessions and their rate of development in regards to technology is astounding. Even I will soon be able to fly one... that's how good they are !

Co-Axial rotor types are still popular,
and the 'body kits' now available really do enhance these models and give them a huge amount of scale appeal.
Master of the 'Canard' - John Ogier brought along his latest design -a VTOL version which was amazing to see take off. The landings will take some more practice, but Dave W's attempts did provide us with some worthwhile entertainment

Unfortunately, there are some 'mid airs' which end in tears... this time, Steve Glass's 'Vapor' met with this electric heli and came off the worst. I'm sure that Steve will soon have it in the air again though despite it looking a bit terminal.
Thanks to all those who came along to the sessions to fly or spectate, your support is greatly appreciated. Thanks to the guys who put out the tables at the start of the sessions and who give up their time to clear them away at the end. Check out the Home Page in the New Year for the dates of the 2010 sessions, and let's see what Santa has brought in the way of modelling 'goodies'.
