Guernsey Model Club Diary of Events -  2008.

January

Saturday 26^th January 4PM to 6PM, Indoor electric fly. Rue Mainguy Scout Hall.

February
Wednesday 20^th February 7.30PM to 9.30PM, Indoor electric fly, The Grammar School.

March
Wednesday 5^th March 7.30PM to 9.30PM, Indoor electric fly, The Grammar School.

Wednesday 12^th March Indoor Table Top Sale, Venue TBC. Probable cost per table will be £ 2 per table 3x6 feet.  Doors open at 7.30pm, If your selling items please arrive early to be ready for the doors to be opened at 7.30PM  We will also be inviting the Model Car Club and Model Boat Club, so the items for sale will be quite varied. Wednesday 19^th March 7.30PM to 9.30PM, Indoor electric fly, The Grammar School.

Sunday 6^th April 10am- Noon, Club trainer will be available with buddy box, Weather Permitting.

General flying is permitted during training sessions.

Weekend 12-13^th April Charmouth Scale Helicopter Flyin, If interested in attending please contact Andy Best.

May

Sunday 4^th May 10am- Noon, Club trainer will be available with buddy box, Weather Permitting.

General flying is permitted during training sessions.

On at least 1 Sunday in May we will hold spontaneous competitions at the club flying site, such as SPOT LANDING, LIMBO and others (suggestions welcome).

Evening ELECTRIC flying will be organized throughout the months of May, June, July, August & September, the format will be to meet at 6pm (location and dates to be confirmed).

June

Sunday 1^st June 10am- Noon, Club trainer will be available with buddy box, Weather Permitting.

General flying is permitted during training sessions.

Saturday 28^th June Club Fun Day with BBQ in the evening.
Saturday 28^th June AeroModel of the Year competition. Run at Chouet.
Sunday 29^th June Open Day / Fun Day. Open to the public.

Wednesday & Thursday August 13/14^th Participation in the West Show, Including 2 x 30 minuet flying displays and a full static display in a marquee/ tent assigned to us.  TBC.

Wednesday & Thursday August 20/21st Participation in the North Show, Including 1 or 2 x 30 minuet flying displays and a full static display in a marquee/ tent assigned to us.  TBC.

September

Sunday 7^th September 10am- Noon, Club trainer will be available with buddy box, Weather Permitting.

General flying is permitted during training sessions.

Weekend 13/14^th September Jersey Model Club Battle Of Britain Weekend, “B” Certificate required to take part.

Evening ELECTRIC flying will be organized throughout the months of May, June, July, August & September, the format will be to meet at 6pm (location and dates to be confirmed).

December
Tuesday 9^th December, Club AGM, Venue probably the Yacht Club. Info to follow in due course.

September 2008 to April 2009,

Various events will be organized including:-

Indoor flying.
Tours of venues of interest to modelers, followed by bar meals after the tours.
